St. Vincent & Grenadines is a nation of 32 islands located in the southern Caribbean Sea and just 24 miles south of Saint Lucia. The largest island is St. Vincent with its forest-covered mountainous interior and Kingstown, the nation’s capital.
A chain of smaller islands, comprising the Grenadines trails off to the south and are home to many beautiful reefs, white sand beaches, yacht-filled bays and stunning volcanic landscapes.
Many visitors like to head to Tobago Cays a marine park of sheltered lagoons and stunning coral reefs where there are fantastic snorkelling opportunities and a great chance to swim with the sea turtles.
There are no direct flights from the UK but the islands are easily reached via a short onward flight usually from either St. Lucia or Barbados. With far fewer tourists, it’s well worth the additional effort to get here.
