The Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort is a family-friendly establishment situated on a beach on the idyllic island of St Lucia. The island is everyone’s picture of a tropical island, with its dense rainforest interior giving way to beautiful white sandy beaches and swaying palms at the water’s edge. The island is marked by those famous twins, the Grand Piton and the Petit Piton, a welcome sight for weary mariners for hundreds of years.
At the beach there is a variety of complimentary water-sport activities on offer including windsurfing, riding in a banana boat, kayaking, Hobie cats and snorkelling. For an additional charge guests can take part in water skiing and knee boarding.
Within the hotel’s grounds there are no less than six swimming pools, two of them reserved for children. There are also tennis courts where the resident tennis professional is available for lessons.
Children have access to the resort’s Jacquot Fun Club and a playground. Older children and young teens are not forgotten and have their own Teen Programme of activities.
The Spa at Windjammer Landing has recently been totally renovated. Featuring 6,500 sq.ft. of contemporary space incorporating a gym, exercise studio, outdoor yoga deck and six treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge and garden, lifestyle boutique, fitness centre, private studio and outdoor yoga terrace. The holistic spa menu showcases globally-acclaimed skincare line Kerstin Florian as well as a Signature Product Collection hand-harvested in Saint Lucia and developed by the Spa's Naturopathic partner.
The Caribbean has been a popular wedding destination for some time and Windjammer Landing has a team of people who are experienced in all aspects of wedding planning. They will liaise with the happy couple to make sure that the big day is a resounding success. The resort also has a range of package deals for the wedding party, with many options so that guests can customise the occasion.
Stunning Caribbean cuisine that is flavourful and spicy to the degree of individual preference. Only open for dinner from 6:30pm to 10:00pm and a reservation is required.
Papa Don's Taverna
This Mediterranean Taverna is situated on a terrace giving stunning views of the surrounding area. The Cuisine is broadly based on the dishes of Mediterranean countries such as Morocco and Greece.
In contrast to the more formal Taverna, Embers has a typical Caribbean laid-back atmosphere. It is right on the beach and offers grills and barbecue specials. The nearby Toppers Ice Cream Shack does a roaring trade in sorbets and ice creams.
This venue is only open for dinner. The speciality here is sizzling steaks although seafood dishes and fish are also on the menu.
Jammers Beach Bar and Grill
Also located on the beach, Jammers is open throughout the day for drinks and light meals. In the evening there is steel band, reggae and calypso to accompany the food and drink.
