Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort is located on the beautiful island of St Lucia, one of the Windward Islands. St Lucia is everything a Caribbean Island should be; long, white palm-fringed sandy beaches, volcanic mountains and a hinterland of lush tropical vegetation and rainforest.

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort covers a massive 100 acres of landscaped grounds, once the site of a sugar plantation. There is a huge array of activities laid on for its guests to enjoy, such that there is not really any need for anyone to leave the hotel's grounds. A top attraction is the weekly hike to the top of the Gros Piton. This volcanic peak towers over the island and, along with its twin peak, the Petit Piton, is one of the most recognisable landmarks of the Caribbean. Another adventurous destination is to the drive-in volcano at Sulphur Springs. It is possible to get up close to the hot, bubbling mud pools and vents.

For guests who seek activity but without the adventure there is a fully-equipped fitness centre with cardio machines and multi-gyms. Instruction is available if needed. A more relaxing time can be had in the renowned Rainforest Spa. This delightful retreat is a true paradise of relaxation with its tree house treatment areas, a steam dome, and its skin care clinic situated in the verdant tropical rainforest.

Of course, water sports are the prime activities in the Caribbean and the Jalousie Plantation offers a number of free examples. Guests here can partake of windsurfing, snorkelling, pedalos and sailing. For an extra charge there is water-skiing and scuba diving. If water sports are not your forté there are activities such as tennis, beach volleyball, billiards, table tennis and archery to try your hand at.

As a wedding location St Lucia can have few equals and the staff at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort will do their best to ensure that any guest who visits the island to be wed will have a perfect Big Day. From planning the day to looking after the catering, the hotel has experienced staff on hand to ensure that a wedding party's every need is met.
