The Coconut Court Beach Hotel has a prime position on the South Coast of Barbados. Its white sand beach is dotted with coconut palms which provide welcome shade as well as natural beauty. The hotel is within easy reach of the shops, restaurants and vibrant nightlife of the St Lawrence Gap and the capital, Bridgetown, is only a 10 minute drive away. Horse racing enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity of the racetrack which is within walking distance of the hotel.
The beach is ideal for swimming and for relaxing on a sun lounger in the shade of one of the many coconut palms. Coral reefs and breakwaters provide safe swimming in the warm waters and the hotel has snorkelling gear available for its guests to use. The recently created South Coast Boardwalk has one end close the Coconut Court and is a pleasant way to see something of the area without getting your feet wet or covered in sand. It’s a wooden structure which skirts the edge of the beach and runs for about a mile towards Bridgetown. Along the way there are view points and gardens, giving wonderful views of the southern ocean and the superb sunsets.
For people who prefer not to swim in the sea the hotel has a swimming pool overlooking the beach with ample space for lounging poolside. There is also a large spa type pool nearby. Children have their own small pool where they can paddle and splash about in safety.
Caribbean weddings are very popular; not surprising when you consider the superb climate and picturesque locations. The Coconut Court has special deals for those who wish to get wed at the hotel, including a wedding co-ordinator who will assist with all the arrangements.
