* Pineapple Beach Club is an adults only resort *

The Pineapple Beach Club is beautifully situated in 25 acres of ground, surrounded by lush tropical plants and bright flowers. The land meets the sea here at a magnificent curving bay with 500 yards of gleaming white sand, perfect for sunbathing or beach sports.

Watersports are, of course, a big attraction of the Caribbean islands and the safe beach and waters around the Pineapple Beach Club is the focus for many water based activities that are available from the resort, including windsurfing, snorkelling, kayaking and sailing.

If land-based sports are more to your liking the hotel can offer tennis courts and a games room where guests can have a go at table tennis or a selection of slot machines and a pool table. For the fitness fanatic there is a fully-equipped fitness centre with free weights and cardio machines.

Holidays are a time for indulging and pampering yourself and what better way to do this than to have a relaxing beauty or spa treatment. The Resort has its own spa on the site and a wide range of treatments is available. Another holiday favourite is relaxing at the pool and the Pineapple Beach Club has two pools where guests can swim lazily in the warm water or simply relax on a sun lounger and develop a tan.

Although the hotel has a lot to offer, it would be a pity not to take the opportunity to see something of the island during your holiday. Antigua is steeped in history that is closely linked to the British Royal Navy, and there are plenty of reminders of its past in the museums and street names. It also has a lively, strictly Caribbean atmosphere with a vibrant nightlife with several casinos, nightclubs and discos.

The Caribbean islands are a popular venue for weddings; not surprising when you consider the climate and the beautiful backdrop of the landscape. Brides and grooms-to-be will find that the resort has a wide range of wedding packages to help them organise their big day with the minimum of fuss and to help keep the costs down.

Practically on the beach, this is the main restaurant of the resort. It serves a hearty buffet breakfast, followed by lunch and dinner. The cuisine is mainly Caribbean.

Chef's Pietro
Open for dinner only, Chef's Pietro is an Italian restaurant.

Pineapple Grill
This is a grille and disco serving Mexican and authentic Caribbean dishes for dinner, three evenings per week.

The Outhouse
Situated high above the beach, The Outhouse offers homemade snacks, sodas and beers from noon until 4.45pm.
