Anse Chastanet

The Anse Chastanet Resort has an enviable situation on St Lucia’s south west coast within sight of those two Caribbean landmarks, the Grand and Petit Pitons. The Pitons are two conical mountain peaks which rise majestically from the island at this point and can be seen for miles around.

Please note: this resort only accepts children aged 10 years or above throughout the year except from 1st July to 30th September inclusive, when the minimum child age is reduced to 6 years.

Although the main buildings of the resort tend to be near the two beaches, the grounds cover an area of some 600 acres of tropical splendour. Most of the area is covered by tropical bushes and flowers which give a spectacular backdrop of colour and fragrance to the resort. The waters of the bay together with its coral reefs are a protected area; such is their beauty and importance to the ecology of the area.

Much of the activities at the Anse Chastanet centre on the two beaches and there is a wide variety of water sports to enjoy. Snorkelling and scuba diving are particularly popular as the reefs begin just ten yards from the shore and are easily explored. Sailing, kayaking and windsurfing are also great fun on the calm waters off the beaches at Anse Chastanet. These are free to guests and there is expert help on hand for those who are new to the sports.

A more gentle way to pass the time is available at the Kai Belté Spa. Many different types of spa and beauty treatments are on offer here as well as regular classes in yoga. Guests with more energy can take part in fitness and strength training on the beach under the guidance of a personal trainer.

The wonderful scenery and tranquil atmosphere of the Anse Chastanet resort has made it a popular venue for weddings. If wedding bells are in the offing for you the resort has a range of special wedding packages to make your big day truly memorable. The wedding planners at the hotel will guide the happy couple through all of the arrangements to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

Much of the fruit and herbs used in the menus at Anse Chastanet are grown on the Resort’s estate. Other produce used in the restaurants is grown on Emerald Farm, a short distance from the estate.
