Activities Room - Kids
When many children are at the resort, one of Curtain Bluff's media rooms serves as a playroom with television, videos and games. Movies are sometimes shown for guests in the activities room.
Please note: children are welcome throughout the year. The only age restriction is during the month of February when guests must be 8 years or older.
For an extra fee guests can enjoy the luxurious award-winning Spa which has five treatment rooms, all with private balconies. A range of pampering treatments are available, or relax in the herb garden or the hot water plunge-pool, just a few feet away from the tranquil Caribbean Sea.
French-born Christophe Blatz has been a chef at Curtain Bluff for fourteen years and has cooked in some of the finest Michelin star-rated kitchens in France. His background fuses French continental with Caribbean flavors and ingredients, resulting in a superb international cuisine.
A new dining experience for 2012 is the Sea Grape Restaurant, located down by the beach with views across the ocean to Montserrat and is also open to lunch. In the evening the restaurant is transformed into an intimate beach side restaurant, with drapes that billow softly in the ocean breeze and tiki torches that flicker gently on the sand. The restaurant offers a relaxed dining experience with cuisine influenced by local Antiguan and Italian flavours. The Sea Grape is open 4 nights a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Breakfast and dinner are also served al fresco in the Main Dining Room with sweeping views of the gardens. Lunch is served around the main bar terrace or in the more casual atmosphere of the Beach Club. In-room dining is available during all meal hours. Afternoon tea is served on the Sugar Mill Terrace.
At cocktail hour, guests can enjoy hot and cold hors d'oeuvres inside the Sugar Mill Bar or on its romantic terrace.
Attire is very casual during the day, but beach cover-ups are appreciated in the dining room at breakfast. At other times gentlemen are requested to wear long pants (no jeans, please), a collared shirt and dress shoes in the evening.
Live music is played nightly for dancing in on the terrace underneath the spreading Tamarind tree. There is also a weekly beach-barbeque lunch accompanied by a live steel-drum band.
Curtain Bluff has one of the most highly regarded wine cellars in the Caribbean, boasting over 25,000 bottles and offering an outstanding and extensive selection of wines from around the world. Wine tasting is offered weekly in the cellar and conducted by one of Curtain Bluff's expert sommeliers, trained in the wine regions of France.
